Graduate Mentors

• About.PUSH4IT! It is an initiative to help first-generation and Pell-eligible UF students graduate in a timely manner. Our goals are to assist students in achieving their academic goals, help students save money, and start a career or graduate school sooner. Freshman can join PUSH4it and become part of our 4-year initiative that spans their undergraduate UF career. PUSH4IT! Coaches have the opportunity to assist students in accomplishing their goals by providing intentional academic and social support.  

Eligibility  

• Undergraduate Senior or Graduate Level Student 
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA 

• Interest/Experience in serving first-generation and/or Pell-eligible students 

Time Commitment 

• 5 Hours Per Month 

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Check-in monthly with PUSH4IT! Scholars and answer questions regarding student schedule development 

• Assist in facilitating Milestone Check-in Meetings with students to ensure they are reaching their goals in a timely manner. 
• Host events and/or socials for program participants to build a sense of community and belonging 
• Build a tool kit of resources for program participants
