Bio

I am from Durham, North Carolina. I have been in the educational field for over 14 years. I started as a High School English teacher, matriculated into Higher Education as a Psychology instructor, now I am using my experience in advising our future leaders of tomorrow. I have a true passion for working with students. The most fulfilling portion of my job is observing these young people turn into professional adults with goals and ambitions. I know that helping others is my purpose on this earth and I am happy to know that I represent that beacon of hope for the students I assist. I am a passionate, funny, and caring individual, who loves to cook, read and travel. I am a graduate of Winston-Salem State University, which is a Historically Black University. I am honored to share my expertise from a different perspective, while professionally developing at the University of Florida. I am happy to be a part of the UF CLAS family, ecstatic about my opportunities, and optimistic about my future.

Why PROMISE

I have so much to provide and to give back to this population of students. My educational foundation provides a different dynamic with working with this population. I understand them. I was once one of them. I am a representation of what PROMISE can mold and create.
